New Skies Satellites [ SES-Newskies] retained ColemSpice to  travel direct to the existing media port which consisted of a few cabins and dish arrays, and imeidiatly set up meetings with local architect and engineer to present their  feasibility proposals for   the initial infrastructure design and planning  for the equipment hall, control rooms, engineering workshops and all office facilities.

The instruction handed down from the management was quote “make a statement as this is where NSS will fly its flag in the USA”

This “fast track” process enabled the NSS/ColemSpice team to shortlist suitable Washington architects and contractors, to bid for the new 20,000 sq. ft. satellite ground station facility. 

Colemspice design, planning and engineering schemes were developed into detailed proposals including power & redundancy schedules to feed the M&E engineers with detail requirements for construction and fitting out.
